It is delicious and has been enjoyed by many. It is starting to become a family tradition around our house – something our friends and family have come to enjoy and expect each Christmas. Thank you so much for sharing!!!

Comment on Understanding Small Business Ownership Through Audience Segmentation at Infusionsoft by Susan https://audienceaudit.com/audience/understanding-small-business-ownership-infusionsoft/#comment-4360 Wed, 01 Oct 2014 00:14:44 +0000 http://audienceaudit.com/?p=994#comment-4360 In reply to Cliff.

Hi Cliff! Great question. If you can’t afford to do actual research, I always recommend at least thinking about everything you do from the standpoint of your target customers, and what they want. If you don’t know, you need to be spending time talking to customers to find out. Obviously, the perfect solution to being perfectly relevant is one-on-one — speaking to an individual audience member about why they’re looking for help, and what you can offer that will solve their problem. But we can get much closer to that ideal by focusing on our audiences and their needs rather than just on what we want to sell.

Comment on Understanding Small Business Ownership Through Audience Segmentation at Infusionsoft by Cliff https://audienceaudit.com/audience/understanding-small-business-ownership-infusionsoft/#comment-3440 Thu, 18 Sep 2014 17:00:56 +0000 http://audienceaudit.com/?p=994#comment-3440 Susan, great post. What you write is spot on. The biggest challenge for me and many of the smaller businesses we serve is that we are really just scratching the surface when it comes to most of the core disciplines for optimizing sales, customer service, etc. (Understanding well and relating to the customer.)

How do you suggest the smaller businesses gather and collect this level of insight on customers with our more limited resources, teams and budgets?

Thanks

Cliff

Historically they viewed their customers and prospects by industry, hoping to tease out their needs based on whether they were a life coach or a business consultant, a medical practice or an online retailer. Last year we worked with them to conduct an attitudinal segmentation of their customers, revealing that users view their marketing acumen and needs very differently. (You can read more about the 2013 study here.) […]
